Safety & Precautions

As with all natural and pharmaceutical ingredients, each standardized herbal extract comes with evidence-based benefits, side effects and precautions.
When iron supplementation is required, or in cases of anaemia, vervain should not be taken simultaneously with meals or iron supplements.
If required, vitamin C-rich fruit juice can counteract its inhibiting effects. It is advisable to discontinue the use of high doses during acute infections unless used in conjunction with powerful antimicrobial therapy. Consume at least 2 hours away from ingestion of mineral supplements. If a course is repeated, the next course should start after a 10 to 14 days break.

Do not use in combination with barbiturates, benzodiazepines, chemotherapy, immunosuppressants ( cyclophosphamide), morphine, thyroid medication or in Solanaceae family sensitivity.
If symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice. Strictly adhere to prescribed dosages. Use with caution in peptic ulcer disease. Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

What is a herbal tonic?

A tonic is a medical drink, that is intended to be used regularly over short or long periods of time to support the body in restoration, rejuvenation, balance, and harmony. Each herbal formula contains a selection of botanical extracts that are synergistically paired and tailored to your individual needs.

When will the herbal formula start to work?

Symptoms of anxiety and stress improve within 3 months' continual use.

How do I take them?

As prescribed. Patients can take a 3 drops under the tongue every 15 min, up to 7mls twice a day mixed with water, depending on their needs and under supervision of a naturopath.

Flavour & Aroma

Each herb has a distinctive aroma and flavour palette, some are sweet- aniseed like, others are bitter, and most have a natural, earthy, woody flavour. You may prefer to dilute the prescribed volume with a little water; kombucha and a few ice cubes or add them to your favourite tea.
They pair well with honey and our range of Native Australian Bush Superfoods flavourings.

Why Do Herbal Liquids Contain Alcohol?

Alcohol acts as an excellent solvent for herbs that have many phytochemicals and have limited solubility in water. It is also an effective preservative for tinctures.
